Clothing Projects
Looking for inspiration for a clothing project? We love to create model garments to showcase ways to use some of our favorite fabrics and clothing patterns. Throughout our store you'll find model garments displayed as complete ensembles - usually even accessorized with purses and hats. In this section you'll find some of our Women's Clothing models with links to the patterns and fabrics we used to create them.

Point of View Rayon
Sku #: MOD-POINTVIEW

We used Point of View from Cutting Corners to make this garment. It has a lower hem in the back, but yet straight lines for a more tailored look.

Artist in Motion with Homespun
Sku #: MOD-ARTMOTION
Click here to order the pattern and fabric pictured.
We have made this pattern so many times and we love it out of each fabric we choose. If you aren't interested in the vest, the top is great for all year around.
We used a woven homespun in a "dirty" turquoise for this version.

Liberty Shirt
Sku #: MOD-LIBERTY

Liberty Shirt from The Sewing Workshop.
It can be used as a shirt of jacket with diagonal size seamed angled to the front. It has asymmetric front and back deep hems with mitered corners.

Light and Shadow Top

This pattern, Light and Shadow, is from Cutting Corners. It's an easy pattern to stitch. Just choose a great fabric and you are half the way there.

Long and Short of It Blue Rayon

The Long and Short of It by CNT pattern company is one of our favorites. The size range is from 8 - 22 so most can wear it.

Long and Short of It
Sku #: MOD-LONG-SHORT

We used the pattern Long and Short of It from CNT pattern company. It includes sizes 8 - 22 and is an easy sewing project.
It's great with rayon that flows so nicely.

Gathered Top by Indygo Junction
Sku #: MOD-GATHER-TOP
Click here to order the pattern and fabric to make this top.
Gathered Top by Indygo Junction is a wonderful pattern in either the top or tunic lengh expecially when paired with rayon Batik. The rayon batik flows and the gathered back is flattering. In a heavier fabric it would just be too bulky.

In a Pinch Vest & Gallery Tunic
Sku #: MOD_PINCH
Click here to order the pattern and fabric used in this model.
We used two great patterns for this combination. The vest is "In a Pinch" by Louise Cutting and the plaid shirt underneath if the Gallery Tunic and Loominous from Anna Marie Horner.

Artist in Motion Rayon and Homespun
Sku #: MOD-ART_RAYON
Click here to order the pattern and fabrics.
Artist in Motion is one of our most used patterns. We love the top only and we love it with the vest over it.
In this garment we mixed rayon batik with homespun and have a wonderful mix of textures.

Artist in Motion with Loominous Fabric
Sku #: LOOM-ART-MOTION
Click here to order the fabrics and pattern to make this top.
We combined one of our favorite patterns, Artist in Motion by Cutting Corners with our newest handwovens, Loominous, by Anna Marie Horner.
This combination is stricking. Wear it over black jeans and you have a great outfit.

Hudson Top from Striped Shot Cotton
Sku #: MOD_HUDSON
Click here to order the pattern and see additional fabric choices.
We chose one of our favorite tops for this lightweight striped shot cotton. The Hudson pant and top is a often used pattern in our shop. The cowl neckline is a great addition for a fall outfit.

Hale Jacket
Sku #: HALE-JACKET
Click here to order the fabric and pattern.
The jacket from this project combines the Flame Hale 54" wide, 100% polyester fabric from Mill Creek with Wear With All Jacket Pattern. The label suggests Dry Cleaning, but we machine washed and dried this fabric before constructing the jacket and it looks great.
