This Male Painted Bunting was photographed by Sharon Hull Dinsmore in Wimberley,Texas. Sporting a blue head, red underparts and a green back (not visible in this particular photo), it is probably the most colorful part-time resident of Texas. The Female Painted Bunting and the juveniles are bright green all over. The Painted Buntings are medium sized birds that can be seen in the spring and summer in the Texas countryside, especially the Hill Country.
Sharon digitally enhances each of her photographs to create an image that looks more like a painting than a photograph.
This Male Painted Bunting fabric panel is part of the Birds of Texas Series of fabric panels from Artful Lenscapes.
Please note: the colors of these images will not look identical on the actual fabrics. Colors vary on each computer monitor and always look slightly different on fabric.
