Roseate Spoonbill cotton sateen panel
This approximately 17" square Roseate Spoonbill panel is printed on a wonderful, soft 100% cotton sateen --- perfect for a 16" pillow form, a tote bag, or to use in a quilt. The cotton sateen fabric provides a rich, detailed image.
Care instructions for best results: Pre-wash and dry before using in a project. Wash carefully by hand or on a gentle or delicate machine cycle using phosphate free detergent. Tumble dry on a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly. Iron on a standard cotton setting, or cooler. Steam may be used. Iron with printed side down.
This Roseate Spoonbill was photographed on a foggy morning in Rockport, Texas. Photographer Sharon Hull Dinsmore says that although you can't see it in this photo, the Roseate Spoonbill has a spoon shaped beak that it sweeps side-to-side through the water to feed. Due to the bright pink plumage, it is commonly mistaken for the more commonly known Flamingo which has a thick hooked bill.
Sharon digitally enhances each of her photographs to create an image that looks more like a painting than a photograph.
This Roseate Spoonbill fabric panel is part of the Gulf Coast Birds 1 Series of fabric panels from Artful Lenscapes.
Please note: the colors of these images will not look identical on the actual fabrics. Colors vary on each computer monitor and always look slightly different on fabric.
