Scrub Jay cotton sateen panel
This approximately 17" square Scrub Jay panel is printed on a wonderful, soft 100% cotton sateen. The cotton sateen fabric provides a rich, detailed image.
Care instructions for best results: Pre-wash and dry before using in a project. Wash carefully by hand or on a gentle or delicate machine cycle using phosphate free detergent. Tumble dry on a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly. Iron on a standard cotton setting, or cooler. Steam may be used. Iron with printed side down.
This Woodhouse's Scrub Jay was photographed by Sharon Hull Dinsmore in Wimberley, Texas. The Woodhouse's Scrub Jay was known as the Western Scrub Jay until recently. It is common in the Texas Hill Country (and the rest of the southwest United States) as it prefers junipers, oaks woodlands and pinyon pines. It is well known for its love of peanuts.
Sharon digitally enhances each of her photographs to create an image that looks more like a painting than a photograph.
This Scrub Jay fabric panel is part of the Birds of Texas Series of fabric panels from Artful Lenscapes.
Please note: the colors of these images will not look identical on the actual fabrics. Colors vary on each computer monitor and always look slightly different on fabric.
